People, resources and finance…these are key aspects needed to provide the appropriate structure and support for BrainsCAN to achieve its vision.

In recruiting the best and brightest expertise through the BrainsCAN Cores, we provide support identifying and defining roles, and lead recruitment to fill positions with the best person for the role.  We oversee BrainsCAN human resources including payroll and benefits, job evaluation, and retention.  To support our vision of excellence, we will develop staff learning & development initiatives and support employee wellness.  

For all BrainsCAN projects receiving funding, we provide quality and responsive support for budget analysis, expenditure monitoring, compliance oversight and financial reporting.  We can assist in interpreting the CFREF and tri-council eligibility of expenses, and provide guidance in forecasting budgets.
